Everything is finally falling into place and dreams are coming true; I am at my happiest! I would like to remember this part of my life and have it live forever through here.

I had chicken pox on my birthday. Yes, on my birthday, and just before my midterm exams. I should have known. January 30th. I fell asleep in the afternoon which was unusual since I have been experiencing trouble sleeping for days now. When I awoke, I rushed to school only to find that our classes were canceled. I came home feeling tired and cold.  January 31st. My birthday. I woke up with a heavy head and chills. Then, when I scratched my rib, some fluid came out. I instantly knew something was wrong. I called my sister about my symptoms and she confirmed it. Chicken pox. On my birthday. Just before midterms. Of course, I went frantic. And of course, I kept on asking why this has to happen. Quaranthings

It's been four months since I assumed office as a Public Attorney and made Calbayog City my new home. A hundred days since I met my new family, seventeen weeks since I realized the promise I made to myself back in law school and three thousand hours of being grateful for this opportunity. It's been a rollercoaster ride ever since. I immediately attended hearings during my first week in the office. The previous lawyer assigned to my branch was appointed as a judge so needless to say, I have large shoes to fill. I didn't have time to mingle with my officemates for I only had a day or two to read the records of the cases set for that week. On my first appearance as a public attorney, I presented a witness in one case and requested some time to familiarize myself with the records in another. Of Seas and Slip Ups

I was scrolling through Tumblr when I stumbled upon a photo by Jeremy Bishop. I visited his website and have been clicking on each picture in his online portfolio for the past thirty minutes. This image he called Sea Waves made me pause for a moment. I remember it's been a while since I drove to the beach. And maybe it'll take some more time before I could smell the sea breeze again. Sea Waves by Jeremy Bishop I spent the whole day yesterday in court. I sat across the bench almost the entire time while I discreetly massaged my lower abdomen. I've been suffering from terrible menstrual cramps for three days. I wanted to go out and come back when it is already my schedule but I didn't want to disturb the court proceedings. So I just pursed my lips and prayed to God that I get through the day.
